midwife booking appointment over the phone

They do normally test bloods and urine. Then confirmed that my scan would still go ahead. Please flag if you think our product match is incorrect. So I asked my midwife for some advise. I find this rather strange as with my first two it was face to face etc. Wow so odd how so many of us differ in the care we are receiving! The only worry is that it meant I couldn’t have my usual observations like blood pressure and urine etc which as a high risk pregnancy and being type 2 diabetic are essential. They took my blood sugar readings as I have gestational diabetes and asked me to email the readings next week. I have a scan and obstetrician appointment the following week so hopefully they’ll do the checks then. My midwife will come out to me for a quick appointment to do bloods ect when I’m next due but I’m ok with it as ive not had any issues and she is higher risk for carrying corona cause the amount of people she sees. But definitely, any concern no matter how small you think it is, call them up, even if it’s for peace of mind. I'm just a bit dubious as to what they can check over the phone eg accurate height weight and BP! You are passing a message to a BabyCenter staff member. I think it's just really important to contact them with any changes or concerns. I’ve not been seen since 29 weeks (currently 33w) as my daughter developed symptoms 2 weeks ago so I had to cancel the 32w appt (no phone call offer made) and then on day 8 of isolation me and oh developed symptoms and where we live (isle of Man) you have to self-isolate again for a full 14 days so I won’t be “free” until a week tomorrow.. I’m meant to get a phone call on Tuesday from the midwife but the GP receptionist said all appointments will now be phone calls. It means that it's one face to face appointment rather than 2. I have my 20 week scan today so that makes it easier as I know my little one is being checked. Thats good to know. Mine was the same and told me bloods came back okay and confirmed the dates o... Your first midwife appointment (also called the booking appointment) should happen before you're 10 weeks pregnant. Ok thanks, now I know what to expect. They ask about your medical history, family medical history and that of baby’s father. Anyone any ideas? My 31 week check up last week was over the phone.
